Columbus City Schools Announce College Credit Plus Informational Sessions for Students

Families with children starting seventh through twelfth grade may now mark their calendars for a number of future educational sessions on the College Credit Plus (CCP) program, which gives students a head start on their college education, as Columbus City Schools gets ready for the new school year. The CCP program enables qualified students to obtain college credits while still in high school; admissions are decided by the partner institution or university offering the courses, according to the Columbus City Schools website.

For a more individualized experience, participants can learn about the requirements and structure of the CCP program for the 2025–2026 academic year through a variety of session formats, such as live online webinars and in-person meetings. The first of these meetings will be a webinar that begins at 6:30 p.m. on December 11. A pre-recorded video presentation is also accessible for viewing at one’s convenience for families who are unable to attend in person, guaranteeing that no one is left behind because of schedule issues.

In addition to speakers from different schools and universities, each session will provide attendees with an introduction of the CCP program and details on what interested students can do next. These individuals will be available to address specific inquiries on their particular application procedure. Students who intend to enroll in CCP courses must attend one of these sessions; both the Letter of Intent and attendance are required annually.

All students who are thinking of starting CCP coursework, whether in-person at a college campus, online, or at the high school, must attend these mandatory and educational seminars, according to the school system. The courses run until February 27, 2025, and for those who need or want a virtual option, there is also a follow-up webinar. To ensure an accessible route to postsecondary education possibilities within the CCS community, registration for all information sessions is available on the Higher Education Partnerships Department homepage through the Columbus City Schools website.
