CPW Seeks Public Aid to Identify Suspect in Illegal Deer Poaching Near Sedalia, South of Denver

The public is being asked to help Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) identify a suspect in the unlawful taking of a buck mule deer close to Sedalia, south of Denver. A man was seen trespassing on private land close to the intersection of Highway 105 and Highway 67 after hearing a gunshot around noon on Sunday, according to 9NEWS.

The witness found an abandoned deer carcass shortly after the suspect left the area. Since hunting on private property without the owners’ permission is required by law, the engaged hunter’s apprehension is essential. In addition to having a hunting license immediately revoked, trespassing for hunting can also result in a five-year license suspension, according to KDVR.

According to additional information provided by the authorities, the suspect’s car is a gray Chevrolet pickup with an extended cab that might have out-of-state license plates. On the driver’s side of the truck, a black toolbox with a red emblem in the middle was visible, along with a unique sticker on the rear window. According to The Denver Gazette, an aftermarket black front bumper could aid in identifying the car.
