Deadline Detroit | Despite Some Empty Shelves, Metro Detroit Food Supplies Healthy, Grocers Say

Everyone who has been shopping recently has seen some shelves empty or nearly empty. That may seem worrying.

However, according to food industry sources, there is nothing to worry about, the food supply chain is well stocked, reports the Detroit Free Press.

Metro Detroit’s grocery stores continue to replenish their regular supply lines regularly, even as new suppliers become available.

However, consumers should be aware that the hiccups will still occur in the coming weeks.

Both Meijer and Kroger said they work diligently with suppliers to get in-store items in demand. In some cases, these high-demand items such as toilet paper have limited quantities.
