PHILADELPHIA(DDN) – The Philadelphia police are looking into a double shooting that took place at a residence in the Parkside section of the city. The shooting resulted in two fatalities.
The incident occurred shortly before 9 p.m. on the 4100 block of Leidy Avenue.
When the officers arrived, they discovered that two guys had been shot.
According to the police, a 56-year-old male who lived at the property died from his injuries after being shot twice in the abdomen.
A 45-year-old male was the second casualty, and he was shot in the hand. He is considered stable.
According to investigators, they have a solid lead on who the shooter is.
We are also informed that a dog bit the boot of an officer who was responding to the scene while they were attempting to assist the victims. The police shot their weapon, killing the dog. They were not hurt.
