Detroit City FC opens at home May 1 as part of an eight-game 2021 spring schedule

Detroit City FC will open the National Independent Soccer Association’s spring 2021 season against Maryland Bobcats FC on May 1 at Keyworth Stadium, the club announced on Thursday.

The fans will be back in the stands with reduced capacity, based on the respective state guidelines of the individual clubs.

The 2020 NISA Fall Champions play an eight-game schedule that faces each league side twice. By winning the Fall Championship, Le Rouge secured a place in the NISA Spring Championship on July 3 at Keyworth Stadium.

The spring season winner will secure a spot in the league semifinals at Keyworth Stadium on June 30th to face the Legends Cup winner, which will take place April 13-25 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. DCFC and the Washington Twp. resident Michigan Stars will participate in the preseason tournament.
