(CBS DETROIT)The Detroit Lions are dominating their opponents every week, and the fans want to keep riding this wave.
Fans chanted across downtown Detroit after the Lions’ Thanksgiving game versus the Bears. The team shows off its progress with every victory.
The Lions are currently 11-1, which is their greatest season-opening record in franchise history.
“This is the most exciting year I’ve had as a Lions fan; before, it was just hard, and I stuck through it, but now, to finally get some excitement and be a part of the good team, that’s what’s up,” John Hamilton told CBS Detroit.
Seeing a Lions game is a Thanksgiving ritual for cousins John and Michael Hamilton. The pair argues they should be grateful for the team’s progress since Dan Campbell took over as coach.
“It was a steady incline between the first year being work, the second year showing progress and the third year being the full unleashed version of the lions,” said John Hamilton.
Fans say the game atmosphere is exciting as Honolulu blue permeates downtown. Many people are hoping the squad may make it to the Super Bowl and finish the season strong. That would mark the team’s first Super Bowl appearance if they are successful.
“We will attend the Super Bowl. We dominate special teams, defense, and offense. “We’re doing great,” Mike Kerr declared.
As the clubs continue to win, fans are getting ready for a Lions takeover in New Orleans with just a few weeks left in the regular season.
James Srock declared, “I don’t care how much it costs, I’m going if we’re there.”
The team has had a difficult season. Fans want the team to disregard the commotion and continue playing despite the injuries to several players.
“Man just keep trucking, keep doing what and don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise, just keep doing you, because it’s working,” Hamilton stated.
