Detroit Lions get 7th pick in NFL Draft

With a loss to the Minnesota Vikings at the end of the season, the Detroit Lions have made a top 10 pick for the third year in a row.

The draft order wasn’t finalized until that afternoon and the primetime games were completed, but Lions will pick the seventh, which was confirmed after Washington beat Philadelphia at 8:14 pm on Sunday night.

The Lions have made a top 10 picks for each of the past two seasons, picking TJ Hockenson at number 8 in 2018 and cornerback Jeff Okudah at number 3 last year.

The last time Lions made top 10 decisions for three consecutive years was in a six-year period between 2002 and 2007.
