Detroit Police Arrest Driver Who Fled Scene of Crash, Causing Property Damage

The Detroit Police Department arrested a man today after accusing him of crashing his vehicle in downtown Detroit and fled the scene.

Law enforcement personnel responded to a single-car accident on Sunday evening around 11:40 p.m. at the junction of Woodward and Monroe.

According to the authorities, a fast-moving automobile took off and crashed into a barrier, causing property damage. There were no claims of injury filed.

A male in his twenties from Farmington Hills, Michigan, is currently being detained in custody for this incident.

According to authorities, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, filing a fraudulent felony report, and careless driving will all result in the submission of a warrant.
