Detroit Police Investigate Shooting Leaving Two Critically Injured on West Side Saturday Night

DETROIT (DDN)Detroit police are investigating a shooting on the city’s west side that left a man and a woman critically injured Saturday night.

Authorities said the incident occurred at 8 p.m. near Dexter Avenue and Lothrop Street.

The guy and lady, both in their thirties, were sent to the hospital.

A snapshot from video captured near the area shortly after reveals what looks to be a red SUV colliding with a tree.

The Detroit Police Department is attempting to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Earlier Saturday, three people were shot in Dearborn Heights. Police said the incident occurred around 1 a.m. on the 23000 block of North Brookside Drive.

It is unclear whether arrests have been made in each event.
