(CBS DETROIT) A 69-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run, and Detroit police are looking for a suspect in the case.
On October 5, 2024, at around 2:27 a.m., the event took place near the intersection of Grandville and West Warren avenues. A 69-year-old man was driving a beige Honda Accord when he was struck by an unidentified suspect in a Cadillac Escalade, according to the police, who then fled the scene. At the scene, the 69-year-old was declared dead.
A white 2015–2020 Cadillac Escalade ESV without a license plate is the suspect’s car. The Escalade has a damaged grill, a missing bumper and headlights, and significant damage to the front end. The car also features chrome rims, a trailer hitch, and a little sunroof.
