Detroit Police Seek Leads in Fatal Stabbing Case

DETROIT – Detroit police are actively searching for a person of interest in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred on the city’s west side.

The incident took place in the early hours of May 19, 2024, around 12:10 a.m., in the 7400 block of Dix Street.

The victim, a 31-year-old man, was attacked outside a building in the area. He was stabbed by an unknown assailant and sustained severe injuries.

Despite being swiftly transported to a nearby hospital by medical officials, the man unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

According to the source, in their ongoing investigation, detectives have identified a person of interest. This individual was reportedly present in the vicinity at the time of the stabbing.

The police have released a picture of this person and are urging anyone who recognizes him or has information about the case to come forward.
