But is it the best city to find romantic partners? The purpose of this post is to use Saturday Night Science and data to find out the easiest places in New Mexico to meet someone for a romantic encounter.
We analyzed 33 of the most populated areas in the state of New Mexico, each with over 5,000 people. Based on our analysis, we have compiled a list of the ten places where it is easiest to find a sexual partner.
If you live in Santa Fe, you probably already know how exciting it is based on the criteria we list below. And if you’re not already regularly engaging in sexual activity there. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to change that situation.

Method to crunch the numbers for getting laid in New Mexico
We understand that this question is related to a bar topic, but that’s precisely why we use Saturday Night Science.
In order to determine the likelihood of finding a sexual partner in New Mexico, we needed to identify the factors that contribute to successful hookups. It’s reasonable to think that people will be more interested in dating and having fun in places where there are many young singles, areas with fewer married people and children, and places with lots of adult activities.
We used the latest data from the 2018-2022 American Community Survey Census for the state of New Mexico. We combined it with data from OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL 1.0, and colleges from IPEDS.
You can’t find any better data than that.
We focused on:
- Population density
- % of population that’s female (More females than males)
- % of unmarried people in each city
- % of households with kids in each city
- Colleges per capita
- Bars per capita
We assigned a “Chance To Get Laid Score” to each city. The higher the score, the better the city is for finding romantic or sexual partners. We only included cities that have a population of over 5,000 in our results. In the case of New Mexico, this means there are a total of 33 cities.
