Eden Prairie Police Department Celebrates Its Own at the Annual Awards Ceremony

To recognize the outstanding work of its officers over the past 12 months, the Eden Prairie Police Department (EPPD) recently conducted its Annual Awards and Recognition Program. According to EPPD’s official blog, four new officers formally joined the ranks during the celebrations, taking an oath of dedication in front of friends and family.

The noteworthy promotions within the military were among the ceremony’s highlights. Records Supervisor Alyssa Benkowski and Dispatch Supervisor Dennis Clark had both assumed their new roles, according to the EPPD blog. The event, which represented more than simply individual achievements, emphasized the department’s dedication to promoting development and continuously adjusting to provide better services.

The Chaplain Tim Power Award, which was given to Officer Dan Chanski, who deserved it, was one of the evening’s most meaningful honors. “The award recognizes an employee who provides consistent care for people in the department and community, displays empathy when communicating with the public and fellow employees, demonstrates teamwork and exhibits actions that are engaging and encourages people to share themselves,”the blog post articulated.

Officer Scott Williamson was named Officer of the Year for his efforts as a Retail Crime Officer, and he was as important in the fight against localized commerce concerns. The award was given in recognition of his “great attitude,” “consistently helpful” demeanor, and his skillful ability to communicate with others in the community. Parallel to these achievements, civilian employees were also honored, with Molly Mitley receiving the title of Civilian Employee of the Year for her commitment to social work and her proactive efforts to help people caught up in a variety of difficulties obtain the resources and services they need.

The EPPD’s Annual Awards honor a shared dedication to public service rather than just highlighting individual accomplishments. Both the police and civilian assistants are acknowledged for their crucial contributions to creating a secure and compassionate atmosphere for Eden Prairie’s citizens. The EPPD reiterates its commitment to providing unwavering community service and offers its congratulations to all recipients.
