Authorities have charged a member of the Edgewood Athletic Boosters with embezzlement of the group’s funds. According to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office, Patricia Bietenduvel, 52, was taken into custody after an investigation that was started because of worries expressed by other Booster members. She allegedly used the club’s credit cards to make a number of illegal purchases and kept getting cash back.

“The Edgewood Athletic Boosters brought this criminal activity to our attention, and we collaborated to close the case,” said Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones.
