Eugene Announces Thanksgiving Schedule with City Offices Closed and Emergency Services Ongoing

The City of Eugene has released a schedule of closures and service changes as the city’s citizens get ready for Thanksgiving. While emergency services will continue to run normally, administrative offices will be closed.

All city administrative offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday of next week, according to a statement from the City of Eugene. Next Thursday, the Eugene Public Library will also be closed. Regular operations will resume on Friday.

Amazon, Echo Hollow, and Sheldon are among the community centers and pools that will be closed for the two days of Thanksgiving. The primary police station on Country Club Road will stay open to offer round-the-clock assistance, and emergency services, such as the police and fire departments, will continue to operate as usual.

Next Thursday, parking at city-run facilities will be free during the Thanksgiving holiday, although the surface lot at the train depot will still be paid. Administrative employees will observe the vacation, and flights and runway activity will continue as usual at Eugene Airport.

After the vacation, services will resume at the Spay and Neuter Clinic, which will be closed for the holiday. On December 2, all city offices and facilities will reopen for business as usual.
