A tragic scene unfolded on the Northwest Expressway in Lane County on Tuesday when a single-vehicle crash claimed the life of a Eugene man. Oregon State Police have confirmed that around 4:43 p.m., a northbound Acura MDX operated by 40-year-old Jeffery Alan Milchak left the roadway for reasons yet to be determined, collided with a tree, and caught fire.
