Method to Determine the Most Hispanic States in The US
When we study the racial makeup of states, we examine statistics. We can use the recently published 2018-2022 American Community Survey to get a detailed breakdown of race by state. We focused on table B03002, which provides information about the number of people categorized by Hispanic/Latino ethnicity and race. We examined the proportion of people in each state who identified themselves as Hispanic/Latino.
We ranked each city from 1 to 50 based on the percentage of Hispanic population. The state with the highest percentage overall is New Mexico, which is named the “State In America with the Largest Hispanic population”. This article has been revised for 2024.
