Method to Determine the Snobbiest Cities in Texas

Do you really believe we would just randomly compile this list? Not at all—here, Saturday Night Science is the only science we utilize.

We compiled a list of all Texas locations having 5,000 or more residents. After this, we were left with 342 spots overall. Next, we evaluated every location using these snoot-worthy standards (no, that’s not a word). English snob:

  • Median home price (Higher is snobbier)
  • Median household income (Higher is snobbier)
  • Percent of population with a college degree (Higher is snobbier)

The American Community Survey provides information on incomes and college education levels. Zillow is the source of home prices. It turned out that this uncomplicated criterion was far more effective at identifying the snooty locations than more snobby ones, such as:

  • Libaries per capita (Higher is snobbier)
  • Museums per capita (Higher is snobbier)
  • Private schools per capita (Higher is snobbier)

In honor of University Park, let’s all turn the tables (with our pinkies up, of course.)

Remember that this is all in good humor before you lose your cool and ruin your blowout or do something really inappropriate. Given the option, which of these ten locations would we like to call home? Naturally, we would.
