Fatal Crash in Reeves County Sandstorm Causes Multi-car Pileup on US 285, Killing One Driver

REEVES COUNTY, Texas (DDN) – A multi-car pileup in Reeves County killed one guy during a sandstorm.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety crash report, a multi-car accident happened on US 285, near mile marker 364, around 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 17 owing to reduced visibility caused by a sandstorm.

According to reports, a Toyota Tundra was going southward when it collided with the rear of a semi-truck hauling a trailer.

According to officials, this resulted in the multi-car pileup, and the driver, 41-year-old Greg Edward Sanchez of Monahans, was discovered dead on the scene.

This crash is still under investigation, and no other information is available at this time.
