Festive Fun and Philanthropy at Moore Square as Community Celebration Supports Local Foster Youth Program on Dec 7

In anticipation of the holidays, Moore Square is welcoming the locals to a joyous celebration that will include activities, live performances, and seasonal fare. The event, which is scheduled for December 7 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., offers a variety of family-friendly activities, such as food trucks offering a wide variety of cuisine options, craft beer to suit all tastes, and warming mulled wine to beat the winter chill. There will also be a special appearance by Santa Claus, which will provide children with the opportunity to express their holiday wishes and provide the ideal photo opportunity.

According to the City of Raleigh, in keeping with the giving spirit, caroling teams will perform in a competitive sing-off that will benefit the Wake Tech Community College Foundation’s Fostering Bright Futures Program in addition to providing entertainment. This program offers vital assistance to students leaving the foster care system with the goal of improving their futures via education. Participants will experience the warmth of community as their donations support a project that directly benefits underprivileged local youth.
