Fifth Victim Dies After Deadly Miami Gardens Crash Involving Children and Grandmother (1)

MIAMI GARDENS, Flo. (DDN) – A family friend has reported that a 13-year-old girl, who sustained injuries in a recent crash in Miami Gardens that claimed the lives of her siblings and grandmother, has passed away.

Authorities in Miami Gardens reported that a white Nissan Altima was carrying five children and three adults when it was involved in a collision at Northwest 170th Street and 37th Avenue just before 6 p.m. on February 8.

Footage captured by surveillance cameras revealed a black Kia Sorrento colliding with the rear of an Altima, causing it to subsequently crash into a silver Cadillac Escalade.

A woman, aged 51 and named Rosa Jones, was the sole adult fatality. The children’s grandmother mourned the loss of her grandchildren, identified by an aunt as siblings: 8-year-old Azariah McCall, 10-year-old Ireanna Johnson, and Kamari Graham, who was marking his 10th birthday.

Their other sister, 13-year-old Ka’Myra Graham, suffered severe injuries and has been declared brain dead, according to their aunt. On Monday, a family friend informed NBC6 that “she had sustained too much internal damage from the car accident,” and had unfortunately passed away, raising the death toll to five.
