A fire broke out at the new HG Supply Company’s premises in Alliance, located in the 3300 block of Texas Sage Trail. According to the Fort Worth Fire Department’s social media update, the incident was reported just before 12:15 pm, and upon arrival, firefighters witnessed flames around the chimney on the roof of the restaurant. Employees had already detected the smell of smoke within the establishment, triggering the alarms and enabling the 50 employees and 35 patrons inside to evacuate safely.

TheFort Worth Fire Departmentstated that “when crews arrived on scene they found fire coming from around the chimney on the roof of the restaurant and began their offensive attack.” A second alarm was subsequently issued by the incident commander due to the structure’s size and difficulty accessing the main source of the fire, signifying a need for additional firefighting resources.

The combined effort of the responding fire brigades had the fire under control in approximately 45 minutes. Unfortunately, amidst the operation, a firefighter sustained a minor injury and received treatment at a local hospital.

The incident did not result in any civilian injuries or casualties, thanks in part to the prompt action of the establishment’s alarm system and the swift response of the emergency services. The Fort Worth Fire Department’s Arson Division carried out an investigation and determined the cause of the fire to be accidental. The department reminded the public to “stay safe,” emphasizing the broader implications of fire safety within the community.
