The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office reports that a guy from Foley died tragically in a one-vehicle collision on Sage Road. On the evening of November 16, 64-year-old Robert Rothfork was killed in an event that happened in Mount Morris Township, about five miles south of Hillman, Minnesota.
When Rothfork’s car veered off the road and into a ditch, he was heading south. When rescue personnel arrived, they discovered him unconscious and not breathing. After being transported to St. Cloud Hospital by Life Link III, Rothfork passed away from his wounds despite the responders’ quick actions, which were successful in restoring a pulse on the scene.
Morrison County Sheriff Larsen acknowledged the emergency teams’ prompt response. “This was a tragic accident for all those involved,” says Sheriff Larsen. Emergency personnel responded quickly and saved lives, according to a sheriff’s office report. Despite appearing to offer some optimism at first, these actions eventually proved insufficient to save Rothfork.
The Mayo Clinic Ambulance, the Minnesota State Patrol, the Pierz Fire Department, and the MLMB First Response Team joined the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office on the scene. The cooperation between the several organizations highlights the dedication to public service and the significant difficulties that these responders encounter following auto accidents.
