Folsom Fire Department firefighters were called to a residence fire on Misty Meadow Drive in Folsom, with help from the El Dorado Hills Fire Department. One house sustained moderate damage as a result of the incident, which happened last Sunday afternoon. Five engine companies, three truck companies, two chief officers, and a paramedic ambulance comprised the response team, according to a news release posted on the City of Folsom’s official website.

Reports of smoke and apparent flames coming from the back of a two-story house sparked the incident. Within eight minutes of their arrival, the first engine company was able to put out the fire, preventing the house and nearby homes from suffering significant structural damage. However, because to smoke intrusion, a nearby property did need ventilation.

The crew kept working to make sure there were no hidden hotspots left that could endanger people or property by looking for potential fire extension into the impacted home’s walls and attic. A more catastrophic outcome for the neighborhood could have been avoided because to the fire departments’ prompt arrival and meticulous effort. Although specifics on the degree of the damage have not yet been made public, preliminary estimates indicate that the outside sustained the majority of the damage.

Thankfully, no casualties were reported following the fire. The cause is still unknown, and an inquiry is being conducted to find out what might have caused this tragedy.
