One man was killed yesterday night as gunfire broke out at Riverside Park.According to WSVN, following reports of a shooting, Fort Lauderdale Police were called to the 1400 block of Southwest 5th Court. When they arrived, they found a male who had been shot.

Despite the paramedics’ best efforts, the unnamed victim passed away from his injuries after being taken to Broward Health Medical Center, where his condition was severe enough to warrant a trauma alert. No suspect has been arrested in relation to the shooting, and the police are continuing their investigation into the incident while urging anyone with information to come forward—a request that Local 10 News has echoed.

The neighborhood was filled with glaring reminders of the violence that had occurred the night before when dawn broke. A significant amount of blood was seen on the front door of a house by the local 10 News crew. Detective Ali Adamson said that no one has been arrested as of yet, and that police are still working quickly to find the shooter who caused the commotion.

The public is being asked for help by the Fort Lauderdale Police and Broward County Crime Stoppers. According to WSVN, anyone with information that could help apprehend the shooter is encouraged to come forward and can do so anonymously.
