Thompson’s charges sprouted from a joint investigation by local and federal agencies; namely the Pittsburg County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives tackled the case which culminated on February 21, 2023, when he was found with a firearm and a half dozen rounds.
