Four-Vehicle Wreck in Ingham County Leaves Elderly Couple, Michigan Driver Critically Hurt

LANSING, Mich (DDN) – The Ingham County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a four-vehicle wreck that occurred Wednesday afternoon in Delhi Township. Three persons were critically injured.

At around 12:20 p.m., deputies arrived to the intersection of College Road and Harper Road for a four-vehicle incident. A 43-year-old lady from East Lansing was driving westbound Harper Road when she failed to stop at College Road and collided with a 38-year-old Dewitt woman driving southbound.

That car then collided with a northbound car driven by an 87-year-old Lansing woman and her husband, who was 82 years old. The East Lansing woman’s automobile then slid and collided with a fourth vehicle driven by a 26-year-old Lansing male who was stopped at a stop sign on Westbound Harper Road.

The crash badly injured a woman from East Lansing and a married couple from Lansing. According to the sheriff’s office, no one else was wounded in the incident.

The victims were taken to a local hospital by ambulance, and the road was stopped for three hours as deputies investigated.
