Franklin County Shaken by Drug Arrests as Brookville Man Faces Charges After Intersection Incident and Kingston Man is Caught with Meth at Gas Station

A Brookville man was arrested for narcotics possession after his routine in Franklin County took an unexpected turn. Elbert A. Isaacs, 39, was discovered unconscious by Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies Thursday night in the center of an intersection, according to WISH-TV.

After receiving complaints about a man who was unconscious, the officers found Isaacs at Oxford Pike and Whitcomb Road and managed to wake him after multiple efforts. When he awoke, a firearm and various substances were discovered in his possession. According to WRBI Radio, Isaacs is currently being held at the Franklin County Jail on a number of felony and misdemeanor counts.

Barely a week prior, another drug-related incident occurred in Kingston. Officer Marie Watson of the Kingston Police awoke Timothy Wright, who was discovered hunched over in a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air at a Weigel’s gas station, and took him into custody. According to 3B Media News, an NCIC check showed that Wright had an open warrant for a probation violation and a suspended driver’s license.

Wright was asked with his prior legal violations, but things got worse when he was discovered in possession of what was thought to be methamphetamine. The pills that tipped the scales at about 14.4 grams were found in Wright’s pocket by responding officer Michael Arnold. Wright is currently facing a number of charges related to driving while in possession of methamphetamine and with the intention of producing, delivering, or selling it. In connection with narcotics activity, Wright’s vintage car, $428 in cash, and a cell phone were also seized.
