Frisco Residents Report High Satisfaction in Quality of Life and Safety, Survey Reveals Room for Improvement in Mobility

The City of Frisco seems to be hitting many of the right notes when it comes to living standards, at least according to a recent survey they commissioned. The National Community Survey (NCS), which ran from July 8 to September 2, has cast the spotlight on the high levels of satisfaction among Frisco residents concerning their quality of life and safety. In a city that’s not unfamiliar with a pat on the back for its livability, these results might not come as a surprise but are welcome nonetheless.

Frisco’s mayor, Jeff Cheney, has something to smile about, with 90% of survey respondents giving the city thumbs up for livability, bringing up children, quality of life, and overall reputation. The survey, which received 929 responses from a mix of ‘random’ and ‘open’ participants, placed Frisco’s overall feeling of safety 94% above the NCS’s national benchmark – a statistic Cheney attributes to consistent and considerable public safety funding, “That kind of investment has been our ‘best practice’ for more than a couple decades,” Cheney said, as per the

City of Frisco.

Eight of 10 residents surveyed have their sights set on staying in Frisco for the next five years, indicating a sense of satisfaction and stability within the community. Across the ten facets of community livability, which encompass elements from economy to education and health and wellness, Frisco received notably high ratings in economic health, utility infrastructure, and that pivotal feeling of safety. Out of the bellwether metrics, the city scored 45 higher ratings and 75 similar ratings compared to the NCS’ national benchmark, with only 3 lower ratings trailing behind.
