The oldest cemetery in Miami is the City of Miami Cemetery. The earthly remains of a number of well-known people, such as Julia Tuttle, the Burdine Family, and Carrie Miller—the woman who was buried in her bed instead of a coffin—can be found there!

There are 27 Union soldiers and 66 Confederate soldiers in the military sector, and it is these soldiers who are allegedly haunting the cemetery.
Deering Estate, Palmetto Bay
