Gerard James Dorundo Charged with Harassment of Westmoreland County District Attorney

Gerard James Dorundo faces charges of harassment in connection with allegations of disturbing behavior towards the Westmoreland County District Attorney, Nicole Ziccarelli. According toCBS News Pittsburgh, on November 8, Dorundo reportedly became “extremely agitated” at his former attorney’s office in Adamsburg, shouting obscenities and banging on the office doors and windows for approximately 10 minutes before fleeing the scene before the arrival of police.

The same day, the situation escalated when Dorundo was accused of calling Ziccarelli’s cell phone 13 times within nine minutes. After being notified about this incident, the police reached out to Dorundo, asking him to cease contacting the District Attorney. “When the chief of Westmoreland County detectives called Dorundo and asked him to stop,”CBS News Pittsburghreported, “police said Duroundo refused to stop calling until he could speak to her.”

Following these calls,WTAEdetailed that Dorundo had sent several text messages to the chief of Westmoreland County detectives. This barrage of communication attempts didn’t end with law enforcement. Reportedly, Dorundo also contacted the District Attorney’s neighbor to ask about her whereabouts.

According toCBS News Pittsburgh, police have issued an arrest warrant for Dorundo, charging him with harassment by communication and disorderly conduct. He was taken into custody without bail before his preliminary hearing on Wednesday.
