Gilroy Police Seek Community Help to Identify Fifth Suspect in Tamale Festival Stabbing

In an effort to locate a suspect in a stabbing incident that happened during the local Tamale Festival, the Gilroy Police Department is contacting the public. Officers were called to an urgent report from the 7500 block of Monterey Street on the evening of September 28, which is when the alleged gang-related brawl occurred.

An adult male was allegedly beaten by a gang of five men, according to the first reports of the incident. Because an edged weapon was used during the assault, the victim suffered severe injuries to his upper body. One adult male and three juveniles are among the four suspects who have already been taken into custody; they are currently being detained at the Santa Clara County Jail and Juvenile Hall.

The investigative team needs the community’s assistance to find the fifth suspect who is still at large in order to close the case. A picture of the last suspect was given by the Gilroy Police Department.
