Grand Rapids Contractor Charged with Multiple Counts of Fraud Over Unfinished Projects

A Grand Rapids contractor, Wesley Pawloski, 30, is facing legal action after multiple allegations of contractor fraud. Authorities were first alerted to potential fraudulent activity in July 2023 when an Ottawa County resident reported paying for construction services that were never delivered by Pawloski’s company, Blackstone Partners LLC, as per the

Further investigations revealed several subcontractors who had performed work for Blackstone Partners also claimed they had not been fully compensated. The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office turned their findings over to the county prosecutor, which resulted in Pawloski being charged with three counts of contractor fraud in August 2024, according to

. Despite the charges, Pawloski reportedly continued to accept payments for construction projects under a new business entity, Designed Construction LLC, inviting an additional charge of contractor fraud after those projects also remained incomplete.

Victims of Pawloski’s alleged fraudulent activities span across home and business owners, who altogether were defrauded over $100,000. Pawloski’s arrest occurred on October 29, and he was arraigned on October 30 and subsequently on November 5 related to the new charge. After posting his $50,000 bond, Pawloski was released from custody.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office is currently expanding its investigation to include neighboring jurisdictions in West Michigan after identifying additional victims. Authorities are requesting anyone with related information to contact the Sheriff’s Office or provide tips anonymously to Silent Observer at 1-877-88-SILENT or through their website, as highlighted by
