The holiday celebration will kick off with a grand entrance by the Mayor and Santa Claus themselves, arriving on a fire truck at the stroke of 3:00 pm. Attendees can freely enjoy horse & carriage rides around Palm s Pond until 5:30 pm. For those looking to capture a moment with the jolly man in red, Santa will be settling into the Log House for visits during the same time frame.
In addition to the Santa-centric festivities, Groveport’s Heritage Holiday promises free activities for kids and adults alike. An iceless skating rink, live ice carving demonstrations, and a face painter will be on-site to entertain guests. Live music will provide a seasonal soundtrack, starting with the Ladies of Longford, slated to perform at 3:00 p.m. and again at 4:05 p.m.
As dusk settles, voices from the Groveport Madison Area Community Choir will unite to carol around the tree at 5:30 p.m. The event concludes with a communal tree lighting and a fireworks display to officially usher in the holiday season.
