The City of Hamilton has scored a significant community goal with FC Cincinnati Foundation’s decision to set up its latest Mini Pitch Soccer field in the neighborhood. This new field is designed to offer a space where local families and youth can bond over the international language of soccer. Strategically positioned between the Booker T. Washington Community Center and Riverview Elementary School, the site is expected to become a central hub for community engagement.
After a diligent search over two years, the FC Cincinnati Foundation pinpointed Hamilton as the place to cultivate its vision for a connected and active community. “This addition is a significant step toward equity in sports, creating meaningful opportunities for kids and families in our community who love soccer and now offering youth who may not have had access to the game a chance to experience a new sport,” Ebony Brock, the Executive Director at Booker T. Proudly funded by the FC Cincinnati Foundation, the initiative also symbolizes a no-cost boon for local taxpayers, further enhancing the community-centric nature of the project.
The Foundation isn’t just stopping at construction. They’re also harmoniously bringing specialized programs to the community with local entities like Living Waters Ministry in the Jefferson neighborhood. “Mini pitches are a critical part of our effort to provide access to soccer for children all across the community and we are excited to become part of the City of Hamilton by bringing a mini pitch to the residents of all ages and those served by the Booker T.
