The local community is being contacted by the Hayward Police Department in an attempt to locate a suspect in a hit-and-run incident. A pedestrian was seriously hurt in the October 30 event, which happened at approximately 11:45 p.m., according to a social media post from the Hayward Police Department. The black Dodge Charger that the police say caused the crash is what they are searching for.
Authorities are asking witnesses or anybody with potentially useful information to come forward immediately after releasing a photograph showing an automobile that is similar in model and color to the suspected vehicle. Anyone with information on what they saw is requested to call the Hayward Police Department at 510-293-7000.
The police also look for photographic or video evidence in addition to witness statements. They urge anyone in possession of such evidence to safely upload it by scanning the given QR code, which takes users straight to the evidence database of the Hayward Police Department. Submissions can remain entirely anonymous, thanks to the department’s efforts.
