After receiving an anonymous report about a possible weapon on campus, Heights High School was placed on “HOLD Mode” today, briefly putting parents and students on alert. According to Click2Houston, the lockdown, which started at 11:40 a.m., limited movement within the school as campus police looked into the matter.

Concerned parents were informed by Principal Wendy Hampton that noon dismissals will be postponed in response to a campus safety measure.
