Here are the Dumbest Places In Montana For 2024

The least intelligent towns in Montana for 2024, according to Saturday Night Science, are Cut Bank and Conrad. Unfortunately, there are certain areas in the Treasure State where a higher percentage of the population did not complete high school.

Although people often exaggerate the importance of going to college, the truth is that not finishing high school puts you at a major disadvantage on average. Measuring a person’s intelligence based on their educational attainment may not be the most accurate method, but it does provide some insight into their level of education.

We will use Saturday Night Science to find out which areas in Montana have the highest proportion of adults who did not complete high school.

According to a study we recently published, Montana is ranked as the 15th smartest state in the United States. The average IQ in Montana is 101. However, this doesn’t mean that some cities in Montana are slower than others because they lack basic education.

Don’t panic.

Some places are more intelligent than others, but that doesn’t reflect anything about the character of the people who live there. Here’s a piece of information that a real estate agent wouldn’t typically share with you.

For this ranking, we only considered cities in Montana with populations greater than 2,000. This left us with a total of 31 cities to rank. Please review the data provided below.

Method to determine the dumbest cities in Montana

We understand that formal education is just one aspect of intelligence. However, being able to distinguish between “they’re,” “their,” and “there” is always important to avoid looking foolish.

So, we used Saturday Night Science to make our criteria more specific. We focused on a city’s educational opportunities and how many people in the population actually use those opportunities.

Simply put, we have established these criteria to identify the least intelligent cities in Montana:

  • % of the city’s population with less than a high school education (Age 25+)
  • % of city’s population with a college degree (Age 25+)

We obtained the data from the U.S. Census 2018-2022 American Community Survey.

Our algorithm assigns a rank to each place in these categories. After analyzing all the data, here is a ranking of the cities in Montana from least intelligent to most intelligent.

We considered all cities in Montana with a population of at least 2,000 for this ranking. We have revised this article for 2024, marking the tenth occasion on which we have ranked the least intelligent cities in Montana.
