Hesperia Woman Found Deceased in Aqueduct, No Foul Play Suspected, San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department Investigates

Earlier this week, the body of a missing Hesperia lady was found in a California aqueduct, cruelly ending the search for her. Supranee Poolswasdi, 69, was discovered dead in the aqueduct’s waters after being reported missing early on Saturday morning, according to confirmation from the SBSD Hesperia Police Department. There didn’t seem to be any indications of foul play, the department said in a statement.

Described as 5’2″ with dark eyes and black hair, Poolswasdi had mysteriously left her house on the 13800 block of Mayapple Street at 2:30 in the morning without her belongings. According to CBS News Los Angeles, she had health issues that may cause her to get disoriented if she didn’t take medicine. Local officials conducted an immediate search after she vanished.

When a Sheriff’s Tracking K9 unit was able to follow Poolswasdi’s track to the adjacent aqueduct, the case took a different turn. The Sheriff’s Dive Team was called in by detectives as a result of this discovery. The dive team’s efforts culminated at around 1:00 p.m. with the recovery of her body, which was then removed and identified with assistance from the San Bernardino Fire Department, according to the SBSD Hesperia Police Department.

Under Shannon D. Dicus, the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department has asked the public to call Detective Oakleaf at 760-947-1500 if they have any additional information on the case.
