Hollywood’s Plunkett Street Scheduled for Overnight Resurfacing to Minimize Traffic Disruption

Overnight improvements are being made to Hollywood’s Plunkett Street. A notice from Basile USA LLC, the official website of the City of Hollywood, states that from December 2 to December 5, a contractor with the Department of Public Works will completely close portions of the street in preparation for resurfacing.

To minimize commuter interruptions, Plunkett Street resurfacing work will be done every night from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Local traffic will continue to have access throughout the restrictions, and the route will reopen daily by 6 a.m. S 56 Ave to S 57 Ave on December 2, S 57th Ave to S 58th Ave on December 3, S 58th Ave to Best Recycling Services Inc on December 4, and from Best Recycling Services Inc to SR 441 on December 5 are the precise sections of the road that will be closed each night. To prevent damage or loss, the city encourages citizens to move their cars and personal belongings out of the public right-of-way while construction is underway. The owner shall be liable for any expenses incurred as a result of such incidents.

Nearby property owners will be informed about any delays brought on by bad weather or other circumstances. Residents should call the Department of Public Works at 954-967-4526 with any queries or worries.
