Houston Duo Nabbed in San Antonio ATM Burglary Attempt; Third Suspect At Large

Two men from Houston were taken into custody early on Wednesday morning after trying to break into an ATM on the South Side of San Antonio. At the Security Service Federal Credit Union on Southeast Military Drive, an alarm went off, alerting the authorities. Only two of the three individuals attempting to steal an ATM were apprehended by the authorities when they arrived. Nevon Barnes and Dexter Robinson, both 25 years old, were later identified as the suspects.

Apart from a car, police have not revealed the instruments used in the attempted heist, choosing instead to withhold information on the tactics of the attempted break-in. The method was advanced enough, though, that authorities thought the suspects “knew what they were doing,” according to a statement that KSAT was able to receive. One suspect is still at large in the ongoing investigation into the attempted burglary.
