The public is being aggressively asked for assistance by the Houston Police Department in identifying a culprit in a vicious robbery that seriously injured a woman. A female was ambushed in the parking lot of a convenience store in the 16200 block of Imperial Valley in Houston, Texas, on the evening of November 9.
The victim reported that at approximately 8 p.m., she was headed toward the store when an unidentified male made unwanted sexual advances. She tried to run away, but the suspect pursued her and hit her with a blunt object. As the attack progressed, the attacker kicked and stomped on her before attempting to take her pocketbook by force. Inside the store, the woman was able to get up and flee to safety. According to a Houston Police Robbery Division release, the suspect then followed her for a short while to the store’s entrance before turning around and leaving the area.
The attacker is described by the authorities as a Black male wearing black pants, black shirt, and white shoes. Additionally, it was alleged that the suspect was operating a gold or beige Chevrolet Impala, which is thought to have been manufactured between 2000 and 2005.
Anyone with information that could help apprehend and punish the perpetrator of this terrible act is being urged to come forward by Houston police. A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered by Crime Stoppers of Houston for information that directly leads to the charge and/or arrest of felony defendants.
