Three individuals face charges after a disturbing incident at a Houston laundromat, where a six-year-old child was locked inside a dryer, reportedly as punishment for losing a bag of chips. Upon arrival, the deputies discovered the child in a state of distress, “visibly shaking and crying”; further investigation revealed the involvement of three adults who were attending to the child at that time, Haven Duncan, 18; Jaqory Gill, 20; and Life Ford, 19 had been detaining the child within the dryer, the child endured the small confined space for a harrowing five minutes before law enforcement was summoned. Duncan, who also had a loaded gun when arrested, is charged with child endangerment with a $10,000 bond, while Gill’s evasion on foot led to his arrest after a perimeter was established, and his bond is set at $100.

, the alleged act was not just a confinement but escalated to a more dangerous scenario as one of the accused, believed to be Jagory Gill, was said to have inserted money to operate the dryer. In a probable cause court viewing of the video footage, the judge described that “One of the others, I believe it’s Life Ford, helps you hold the dryer door closed, and Mr. Gill, Jagory inserts money and starts the dryer.”
The young victim, after the alarming and potentially traumatic ordeal was assessed by EMS personnel at the scene and thereafter released to a guardian who came to the laundromat, the authorities made sure that the child was stable and safe, constable deputies confirmed that Child Protective Services was notified, as reported by
