INDIANAPOLIS (DDN) – As of Wednesday evening, the Indiana State Police are currently present at the site of a collision that included a semi-truck and resulted in the closure of the right lane of westbound Interstate 465.
At approximately 8:31 p.m., state troopers were dispatched to eastbound Interstate 465 at mile marker 3.4, which is located between Bluff Road and S. Meridian Street, in response to a personal injury accident that resulted in injuries.
The accident was confirmed by ISP to involve a car and a semi-truck. The female driver of the automobile had fled the scene, according to ISP, which meant that the authorities required more time to reopen the lanes that had been closed down.
In addition, medical personnel were dispatched to the location when the driver of the semi-truck was reported to be having some discomfort as a result of the collision.
A short while later, the troopers were successful in locating the motorist who had fled the scene of the accident, and they believed that all of the individuals who were involved in the collision have been located.
There is no information that ISP has supplied regarding the severity of the injuries as of the time that this report was published.
