SOUTHEAST, NY (DDN) – The victim of a two-car crash on Interstate 684 on Sunday morning has been identified by state police.
According to the New York State Police, troopers responded to a two-car collision on the interstate highway in Southeast around 7:15 a.m. on Sunday.
An early investigation determined that 23-year-old Makayla S. McIntyre of Mount Vernon was driving north on I-684 when she lost control of her vehicle.
According to police, her vehicle collided with another vehicle driven by 65-year-old Michael T. Keller of New Milford, Connecticut, after hitting a guide rail and across all lanes of traffic.

According to NYSP, both vehicles drove off the road, colliding with the middle median before overturning and coming to rest in the center embankment of I-684.
Keller was pronounced deceased on the scene. McIntyre was brought to Danbury Hospital for minor injuries.
Police say the investigation into the collision is still ongoing.
