SPRINGETTSBURY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (DDN) – PennDOT reports that a collision involving many vehicles occurred on Monday, causing a portion of Interstate 83 in York County to be closed.
Around approximately 11:45 in the morning, the collision took place in the northbound lanes of Route 462/Market Street at Exit 19, which is located in Springettsbury Township.
As a result of the collision, the route was fully blocked by the automobiles that were involved.
Interstate 83 Northbound was closed in its entirety between Exit 19, Route 462/Market Street, and Exit 21, Route 30/Arsenal Road. This closure affected all lanes of the highway.
All lanes have been reopened once the collision has been cleared away.
At this moment, it is not known whether anyone was hurt in the incident.
