HARTFORD, Conn. (DDN) – A man from Hartford is being investigated for multiple crimes after a series of alleged episodes of road rage that occurred on Interstate 84 and a manhunt that took place in Southington on Tuesday.
Robert Misericordia, 27, allegedly turned himself in on Wednesday in pursuit of an active arrest warrant resulting from multiple alleged episodes of road rage that occurred on Interstate 84 in Waterbury, according to the department of state police.
As the state police discovered his vehicle on a cul-de-sac in Prospect, he allegedly struck a state police cruiser in an attempt to escape from the authorities.
Subsequently, the vehicle belonging to Misericordia was discovered abandoned at a rest stop in Southington.

The state police have stated that Misericordia has shown his willingness to cooperate with the investigation and has admitted to his role in the sequence of incidents.
Several accusations have been brought against him, including first-degree threatening, resisting or interfering with an officer, careless driving, and first-degree threatening. He is currently being jailed on a bond of $150,000 and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
