‘I’m going to blow this s— up!:’ Man threatens Ulta Beauty store, then draws all over face to make for a colorful mug shot, cops say

Alabama authorities arrested a man who allegedly threatened to blow up an Ulta Beauty store in Opelika. The suspect somehow got ahold of some markers or crayons or some other colorful items because, in his mug shot, his face is covered in red and blue.

Timothy Vincent Lincoln, 42, of Buras, Louisiana, is facing a charge of making a terrorist threat in the first degree. According to a probable cause arrest affidavit filed in Lee County District Court and obtained by Law&Crime, Lincoln was talking on the phone and standing outside an Ulta Beauty store on Enterprise Drive in the Tiger Town shopping complex shortly before 10 a.m. Saturday.

An employee who also was outside overheard Lincoln allegedly say, “I’m going to blow this s— up.” The employee ran inside and alerted her co-workers, who evacuated the store. The complaint did not say whether Lincoln entered the store or may have had a prior dispute, which may have led to making the alleged threat.

Officers from the Opelika Police Department responded and did not find any explosive devices. The store went back to business as usual.

At some point, Lincoln decided to draw all over his face. His beard and nose are bright blue. Much of his face is covered in red lines. A dark line crosses his forehead. Police did not say how Lincoln came across the items to draw all over his face or what he was trying to accomplish. A police spokesperson did not immediately return a phone call and email seeking comment.

Cops took him to the Lee County Detention Center, where he remains on a $100,000 bond. If he’s convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison. There was no lawyer listed for Lincoln. Ulta Beauty has banned him from the store.
