Impractical Jokers’ ‘Murr’ signs books, high fives fans at Staten Island Mall Wednesday night

STATETEN ISLAND N.Y. Comedian and internationally acclaimed author James Murray stopped by Barnes & Noble in New Springville on Wednesday night to sign his most recent book, You Better Watch Out.

Around 6 p.m., over 100 ecstatic fans lined up around the store’s perimeter to meet, greet, and have the well-liked Impractical Jokers member sign their recently acquired books.

The consistently humorous and gregarious Murr spent a significant portion of the event engaging with the crowds that traveled to the Staten Island mall, giving them high fives and even filming a social media video with the people patiently standing in the long line.

He paused at one time to record a video for the sister of a fan who was unable to attend the signing.

Six strangers who have similar head wounds and are imprisoned in a deserted town 48 hours before Christmas strive to retell their story in this serial killer thriller, which was co-written with Darren Wearmouth. The story comes to a strange conclusion when the group is killed one by one.

In an interview on a Media Mikes Presents podcast, Murray remarked, “It has been a really cool ride.” For the past nine years, Darren has been my best buddy. Seeing so many of our books make the bestseller list is just amazing.

Through 11 seasons of the truTV original show, Murray has been entertaining audiences with his Impractical Jokers co-stars Sal Vulcano, Brian Q Quinn, and former member Joe Gatto. The lifelong pals laugh at one other’s expense every week.
