A tragic scene unfolded in a Jefferson County home as a couple and their two dogs were found fatally shot. The devastating discovery was made after the couple’s daughter, unable to reach her parents by phone, checked on them at their residence.

, the daughter contacted the Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies on Sunday evening when she found her dad lying on the floor after arriving at their home on the 12100 block of Bear Park Road at around 6:45 p.m.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office relayed that “the doors were locked, and when the daughter looked through a window, she saw her father lying on the floor and called 911,” as reported by
